Our youth group had a meeting and we were thinking of putting up a billiards tournament as a fund raising. That idea was suggested by Herbert. The other ideas for the fund raising drive are: Fastest Texter, Raffle Draw, and Garage Sale. The Billiards Tournament is a brilliant idea but it entails a lot of hardwork and a lot of advertising too in order to get many participants.
My teacher in Photography was impressed with some of the pictures that I took. I felt very fulfilled with that. As usual, we went again to the area mass with our beloved Parish Priest. I was once again a part of the choir. Unfortunately, my throat sores and it was pretty difficult for me singing at a very high tone. After which, we even went to Select then proceeded to Q-Time where we played games of 9-ball. Laura and Mon-Mon was damn good in playing billiards. As far as I'm concerned, I need a lot of practice.
Wow! I just met a new friend today. Her name is Caren, and she is a gifted child. She's a ballet child prodigy. She's good in dancing too. I even got to play billiards with her and had jamming with her. I was surprised to find out that she is my neighbor. She even told me to drop by at her home sometime and play some videogames with her. The best part is that I have even recruited her to be part of our youth group in the Church.
Finally, we had a break from our duties from the summer workshop. We went to Tagaytay. I was at the church by 6:45 am and we are supposed to depart from the church by 7:00 am but we ended up departing at a much later time. We had a stopover at Petron Superstation. Me and my friends ordered some coffee at Starbucks. After 30 minutes or so, we continued our journey and we took some shortcut at Southwoods instead of taking the usual Santa Rosa route to Tagaytay. Finally, we arrived at our destination. We were warmly welcomed by the participants. The A Camp is actually about Youth Animation. This is mainly on how to attract the youth to the church or to participate in the campus ministry. We were even asked by our Parish Priest to take a seat with the participants and they were asking us questions and we were surprised that we are able to answer them and they are agreeing with us. Actually, some did not agree on some ideas as what my friends have told me. We were also asked by Father GC to give a talk on our experiences regarding campus ministry and we have to speak in English since there are two participants that are foreigners. We even prepared a short skit on youth animation. It was really fun and educational at the same time. I don't expect myself to give a talk in impromptu style since I'm not very much used to it especially if you have to deliver it in straight English. Before going home, a teacher from St. Benedict College approached us and invited us to give a talk at their school. After a long day at the A Camp, we went back to Manila and Father even bought some pasalubong for our family.
Leah called us up. And yes, she invited us to go to a seminar with her and our Parish Priest at Tagaytay. Alright! We would be out of Parañaque at last. I will be absent in our Photography class tommorow. I guess I should charge the battery pack of our digicam. I got a lot of picture taking to do.
Okay... mission accomplished, I was not able to go with Dad to Laguna. It's just that I do not like to go there because of the humidity and all that heat this summer. What's the hell going on in our Parish? Geesh! Someone took Father's Mass Kit. The person who got it was so pathetic and that person does not even have a bit of respect for doing such thing in a church... of all places! Geesh!
