Team Building at Laguna

The College and High School Volunteers had a team building at Laguna. The Team Building was facilitated by Tatay Jojo. We all had fun and learning experiences in our team building. For the activities, we were divided into groups of 6. My groupmates were Julien, Jill, Brian, Chard and Joseph. Tatay Jojo asked us to make a name of our team and Jill suggested Teteng Galit. Hehehe! We were all laughing our hearts out including Tatay Jojo. Meanwhile, the names of teh 3 other teams are Dorx Republic, Jonuel and Friends, and Rambo Rats. The next instruction of 'Tay Jojo was to make a flag and oru team did it in full force of our creativity. Afterwards, Tatay Jojo said that we choose a leader and of course, we chose Jill. So Tatay Jojo instructed her to tie us up together both the hands and feet. After which, we were instructed to go downstairs and look for our flag. It was a really difficult situation for us and we do not expect that we will be that successful in reaching the said area and luckily, not one of us got hurt. After arriving to that area, I felt a sense of achievement. In that activity, I have learned that trust in a team is a must in order to get things going. You could not let your subordinates do something that you asked them to do if they don't have trust in you.

The Fast Enrolment

Just this morning, I went to school to pay the tuition fee and of course, a meeting with my thesis mates. I arrived at school around 7:40am. I was surprised to see a lot of people at the Accounting Office. As the cashier opened the windows of the accounting office signalling us to fall in line, I dashed and then, the guard said that for those who are going to pay in cheques, proceed to the South Conservatory. Then, I went to the South Conservatory and I was surprised by the long line in front of me. Nevertheless, I didn't lose my patience for it was unusually fast, especially the giving of the official receipt. but, i also realized that if I have arrived school at 10am, there will be no line in the South Conservatory for that was what I have observed several hours ago.
After which I ate at McDo to take my breakfast and went back to the South Conservatory and fell asleep while waiting for my thesis mates. Finally, they have arrived. We have discovered something new for our thesis. The group has found out that when you focus the camera to a ripe mango in the Nightshot mode, you will see dark spots. If you focus the camera to a green mango in the Nightshot mode, you will see plain green. I hope that this will be the answer to our thesis so that we could do something. Geesh!

Fishing Village

We had dinner with our relatives (mother's side) at the Fishing Village. But before savoring the MSG-infested food, we went round and round at UN Avenue, Remedios Circle and even Quirino Avenue. We had trouble finding the place. At last, we arrived there and made our way to the restaurant. But lo, I was disappointed to find out that there were no table and seats for us. Geesh.

New Year's Brownout

Better Living has experienced a brownout at midnoon and just a few minutes ago. It was really bad to experience such incident in the middle of a lively chat with your high school buddies. Geesh.

A Different New Year's Eve Celebration

The usual celebration would start off by going to our Lolo Pepe's place (the brother of my grandmother). We would eat dinner there with my cousins (Father's side). It's a miracle that for the first time, I didn't drink wine or a bottle of San Mig Light as I did last year. After the dinner would be the traditional paagaw. Because my brother, "The King of the Paagaw", is not there, I was able to get 96 pesos worth of 1-peso and 5-peso coins. After which, we went first to Makati looking for a coffee shop that is open. Unfortunately, there's none. So, we asked Dad to drop us over at Mom's place. We spent the New Year's Eve there. We just watched Charlie's Angels at HBO and David Blaine at AXN. They went to the rooftop as they watched the fireworks. And since I'm kind of afraid of heights, I just stayed in the room and watched TV. Afterwards, we ate Buko Salad and Baked Macaroni and after some time, we slept to recharge.
So, how did you celebrate your New Year's Eve? Happy New Year to everyone and God Bless!
