At this point in time, several of us may have seen Mars on the sky and maybe, you thought that what you saw is only a star with a reddish hue around it. And today, Mars has been closest to the Earth in 60,000 years as astronomers would say. When I arrived home an hour earlier, I saw my neighbor catching the site of mars with his binoculars. Then, I was also able to look through the binoculars and for the first time, I saw the Red Planet with my own eyes. Our generation is indeed lucky enough to get caught of the site of Mars since the next time that it will come closest again to Earth is in 2287 which will never even be experienced by our grandchildren. August 27th indeed is one historic event in the field of Astronomy. And yes, I am very happy indeed to be part of this generation to view such magnificent creation.
Last night was the debut of the Admit One Productions in Rock Radio Cafe which is located beside the Alabang Town Center. It was one heck of a show definitely especially when the drum set went berserk at the set of Dicta License. While they are fixing the possessed drum set, Jorel of Happymeals went on the stage to make the crowd get high with his jokes. Some samples of Jorel's jokes are the following:
Q: Anong swimming ang tanga? A: Swimming Fool
Q: Anong swimming na kahoy? A: Swimming Trunk
At the set of Fatal Posporos, Kris did a surprising intro to one of her songs. She sang in acapella I Like it that Way by BackStreet Boys with complete actions (I'm not sure with the title though). At the set of Sugar Free, one male audience went beyond his alcoholic limits. So in the middle of the song Burnout, he stood up from his seat and raised his hands up in the air and chanting PakShet. Then, he walked up to the stage and stood there. He sang some lines of the song as if he is some brokenhearted drunkard. Afterwhich he said, "Tagay pa, Tagay." The momentum of the crowd was broken but then, the show continued. The guy was like roaming around RRC talking to almost every person he passed by as if he knew the person. When Sandwich played, a mini-mosh pit was created where there was no mosh happening, just the typical I-love-to-headbang groove and I-love-to-jump tripping in their set. Butterfly Carnival is indeed a Sandwich anthem. In addition to that, Trici Nicolas was called up to stage to sang Untitled with Imago. After the set of Imago, the jamming continued as musicians from different bands came to the stage.
